For example, in the Clique series the characters emotions and the problem/setting are all described with such detail it is like you actually know the characters and that you are in the book.

I'm reading "THE BOY WHO COULDNT DIE" and he goes to a woman and she takes his soul and hides so hes invunerable, sound good? Well it is and it made me want to read more to see what happened,to see if he was actually invulnerable, and im pretty sure he is if hes weak and 5 football players who jumped him couldnt phase him like feathers were hitting him. While there trying to beat him up they hurt themselves cause it was like hitting a brick wall.Anyway i'm at a part where he really wants to test his invunerability by scuba diving with sharks and im just wondering whats going to happen.

What made me keep reading this book is that the book is getting more interesting to me and I can relate to it real good with my personal life. And what also made me keep reading this book is that the things that happen in real life are happening in this book

Several of my students, especially those I swap books with, commented on the Stephenie Meyer series, so I thought I would give it a try. I must admit— I didn’t think I would like the books. I’m not sure why; I suppose it was because the books seemed a bit like “brain candy” for beach reading rather than anything else. Was I wrong! Not that the books are “hardcore” literature, mind you. Instead, the author was able to make me read over a 1000 pages just to discover a single piece of information! And I don’t care that I still haven’t found out— I’ll continue to read.
Meyer balances just enough teen angst, legend, and fantasy to seduce the reader.
As soon as I leave this room, I’m headed to B&N to buy the third book.

I am reading Nineteen Minutes. What made me want to keep reading is that from a teaching point of view I see a lot of my own students from the past dealing with the same issues as the young man does. I want to be more aware of what my students are dealing with.

The book I chose is "The Golden Compass." I don't think it's on any list... I wanted to read it because I wanted to see for myself what all the debate was about. A lot of people, especially in the Catholic faith, don't like the book. Why? So being the kind of Catholic I am... I read the book. The idea that it could be bad or share something outragiously wicked and against the church kept my curiosity high and my longing to read going. Well, that's it. Oh, the book is really good, in my opinion. Anyone else read it?
