As I get deeper into the book, that girl Darcy wants her boyfriend Hakeem to stay, but he can't stay because his dad has cancer so he is weak right now. So his uncle is giving him a job that doesn't use all of his strength .

I would describe the book as very good. The mermaid was suppose to get married but she ran away or swam away from home and ended up on land. That is when she saw Raymond and she said that she was in love and the only way she could stay is if she found true love because her dad thinks that true love does not exist. So Hailey and Claire try to help her find true love.

The book I have chosen to read is called 'The Outback Stars' by Sandra Mcdonald. Its a seemingly fast paced sci-fi novel about a woman who has just survived a starship crash and after recovering and restraining herself from suicide countless times, she is ready to set out on yet anther starship, and from there the story begins.
Its a brainy novel that will get you hooked and thankfully she has made this a series. In the second book she wastes no time getting the info out that was in the book before and quickly keeps the journey going.

Clayton,
What do you think makes Lord of the Flies such a boring read. I remember reading it when I was in high school, and I felt the same way at the time. When I became a teacher, I reread it and enjoyed it more. The transformation of the boys from "innocent" to "savage" amazed me. I also like to consider if evil is an innate quality or one that develops based on our environment.

In my book The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore, Christina is kidnapped by Zach and Loretta Tigus and kept until her Grandmother pays the kidnappers. When the police find her, the money is divided into two piles, but no one believes that the second pile is not for her.
